“There’s no greater purpose than service to others”
– Socrates; quoted by Dan Milman in ‘the way of the peaceful warrior’
The title of the Invisible Photographer originates in a popular Israeli children book from the 60′s: Dani-Din who sees but cannot be seen. The active yet invisible approach enables you to receive beautiful wedding photos, without turning your event into a full studio location set. It also means being there, attentive, letting the sacredness of the event speak while listening carefully. The best moments can’t be forced – they need to be discovered.
Light, lens, expression, and movement all interact to be recorded on film (or CCD). The Invisible Photographer strives to combine attentiveness to the present moment with passion for the art and technical virtuosity. The camera is usually set on Manual mode to give each image its proper attention, ensuring that your photos reflect the extraordinary experience in the most beautiful, engaging way.
You will have many things on your mind on your wedding day. Worrying about your photographer should not be one of them. Whether it’s by developing a track record of integrity and results, or just by making sure to bring a backup camera set (just in case..), the Invisible Photographer is always professional.
If your photographer can’t smile with you on your wedding day – then he’s not at your wedding – he’s at a “job.” Two people coming together to build their lives as one in the Holy Land is never to be taken for granted.
Professionalism never need come at the cost of genuine warmth. The photographer might be working- but he is with you. From making picture taking fun, to helping people relax into their look – he strives to be both a photographer and a friend – one who can help you feel calm, confident and genuinely supported throughout the wedding experience.
The Invisible Photographer’s technical approach is based on the combination of multiple elements, such as:
Fast prime lenses and a sensitive camera sensor to reduce the usage of flash
Diffused off camera flash – enabling creative lighting without the intrusion of multiple strobes
Greater versatility in angles of view through use of tai-chi practices
Digital image stitching to create high-resolution group portraits and panoramic views
The Invisible Photographer is bi-lingual and multicultural and can interpret the complementarities of the Israeli and North American wedding cultures. The bride and groom, family and friends, will all feel comfortable no matter where they come from.
Photographing a wedding is intense: the pace, the surroundings, the multitude of participants. Putting it all into the frame is an art by itself: combining the management of effective group shots and catching those special unscripted moments. The Invisible Photographer works swiftly without sacrificing quality.
The Invisible Photographer accepts only a few weddings a month, so he comes well-rested and energetic to each event. He brings his creativity and a promise to be fully devoted to you for the entire event.
Combining the energy and experience of a wedding hall with the wonder of a sensitive eye is the key for producing great images. The Invisible Photographers offers a range of services, including:
– Medium and large format non-digital photos
